Cycling Personal Injury Claims
Competitive cyclists who are injured in either racing or road traffic accidents can find it difficult to enable professionals to understand the impact that such events can have upon their participation and level of enjoyment of the sport. In such cases, it is important that a full psychological assessment is made of the impact of the accident on the cyclist’s participation and level of engagement. Anxiety consequent upon road traffic accidents can have a subtle but major effect on a rider’s performance that cannot be fully appreciated by those not familiar with the sporting context.
Peter’s doctoral research focused on the impact of accidents upon cyclists’ performance and identified the range of difficulties experienced in such situations. He is therefore well placed to carry out medicolegal assessments on cyclists injured in road traffic and racing accidents and to detail the full range of impact upon their performance. As a competitive cyclist I am aware of the ways in which anxiety after an accident can have an impact upon performance and confidence. I can also identify appropriate treatment to enable riders to fully recover.
Medical legal assessments can be flexible arranged either at the client’s home or a convenient clinic location.
